About you

You’ll need to be someone who is happy to work on multiple projects, can deliver work to deadline and be willing to learn new skills.

We’re looking for someone who can communicate well with colleagues across the company at all levels both in a written and verbal capacity, who has a basic grasp of the Microsoft Office suite and for someone who is keen to learn and build their experience.

You’ll be happy working on your own but will also be a team player when working on team projects.

About the role

Are you looking to take the first step in your career to support People and drive company culture? This is an opportunity to join our friendly and supportive People Team, who are on a mission to make IFF Research, the best place to work in social research.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside our People Director, Senior People Advisor and Talent Acquisition Partner, supporting with a range of administration and coordination activities, throughout the full employee lifecycle.

You’ll be the first point of contact for any administrative people-related queries and contribute to the wider people team agenda, as well as providing administrative support to the Learning and Development Director.

This role will provide you with a wide variety of opportunities to grow and develop your career in the people sector and some of your responsibilities are listed below.

Recruitment

  • Advertising and uploading jobs on to job boards
  • Coordinating interviews and liaising with candidates and interviewers.
  • Support the CV screening process, shortlisting and communicating with candidates
  • Support with large recruitment campaigns

 

Employee Lifecycle

  • Manage the new starter process, including offer letters, contracts, induction plans, right to work documentation and updating payroll.
  • Manage the leavers process.
  • Welcoming new starters on their first day and eventually lead induction meetings.
  • Contribute to engagement activities and employee led committees.

 

Administration

  • Provide first-line administrative support, e.g. managing mailboxes, scheduling appointments
  • Ensure People data and documentation are kept up to date.
  • Support with data collection for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Process payroll and benefits, in line with monthly and fortnightly payrolls.
  • Support on the coordination of various team events.
  • Provide support during probationary periods and the annual appraisal review.

 

Learning & Development

  • Help to coordinate our fortnightly knowledge sharing sessions
  • Keep the training timetable and training sign-up sheet up to date.
  • Help with training session set-up and administration as required.
  • Organise meeting room set up for training or meetings with large groups.

 

Employee Relations

  • Support in managing sickness absence
  • Support processing family leave requests and flexible working requests.
