The latest Graduate Outcomes data has been published following the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) awarding it the prestigious kitemark of ‘Accredited Official Statistics’ earlier this year. Surveying more 375k students each year, Graduate Outcomes is the UK’s largest social survey, and we’re proud to have been the delivery partner since its inception in 2017.
The OSR report highlights the high standards we uphold in producing Graduate Outcomes statistics on behalf of HESA. It commends the proactive engagement with data users, robust quality assurance (QA) processes, and timely data releases. It’s great to read that the commitment to the principles of trustworthiness, quality, and value is praised as “exemplary.”
The OSR specifically noted that the response rates for our Graduate Outcomes survey are a standout feature, especially when compared to other large social surveys. This achievement ensures that users can have a high level of confidence in our aggregated estimates.
David Vivian, Director of Research at IFF said, “It was great to see latest Graduate Outcomes results released. The data recently received the accredited official statistics kitemark from the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) and we’re very proud of the role we play in driving response and maintaining quality for this important survey on graduate destinations.”
As the independent regulator of all official statistics in the UK, the OSR ensures that any data bearing the Accredited Official Statistics kitemark meets stringent criteria. Our data publications, first released in 2020, have demonstrated our unwavering commitment to these principles and will carry the National Statistics badge from 2024. This year’s data provides insights into the activities of graduates from the 2021/22 academic year.
