About you
The ideal candidate will have a strong research background in UK based social research with a depth of experience in some or all of the relevant sectors (employment support, welfare, wellbeing, health, justice, housing and young people).
This role requires an excellent leader who can bring our strategic direction to life.

Experience and understanding of working in a large research agency is highly preferrable.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and managing research teams and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
You must have excellent communication and presentation skills and have the proven ability to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders as well as your team and the wider business.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Senior Leadership Team as a Research Team Director, leading a team of Researchers and Research Directors across a range of sectors including; employment support, welfare, wellbeing, health, justice, housing and young people.
As a Research Team Director, you will be a people leader who has a passion to create and maintain a working environment where your team thrive and IFF is known as a great place to work. You will work to operationalise the strategic direction of the company, ensuring that your team achieves target profitability whilst striving to ensure that IFF operate as the foremost social research agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a team of 40+ Researchers and Directors to win and deliver cutting edge research throughout your relevant sectors.
- Support Directors and Sector Heads to operate at thought leaders in their field and ensure they’re winning and delivering impactful work.
- Identify and support team development opportunities through skills gap analysis.
- Drive employee engagement through effective communication, support and team development.
- Drive profitability across the team.

Our offices are based in central London. We operate on a hybrid flexible model with core hours between 11-3 to allow you to adjust your working time to suit your personal needs.
We offer 28 days holiday (plus BH) which will increase by one day after 3 and 5 years to a maximum of 30 days. We welcome flexibility around our core hours.
