About you

This role is for someone who will already have approx. 12 months – 2 years of experience in research and is looking to apply their skills in the fast-paced world of agency research. You’ll join us as a Research Executive and work on multiple projects with colleagues who are supportive and collaborative.

You must be comfortable and confident working with data, happy to delve into tables and ideally will have some good experience in SPSS. We work with mixed methodologies and you’ll therefore be happy to do the same, building on your knowledge and understanding of both quantitative and qualitative methods.

You may come from a different sector of market research and wish to step into social market research but you’ll be able to demonstrate an understanding of the work we do and the clients we support.

You’ll have great written and verbal communication skills, be happy working autonomously and proactively but equally be able to work positively and flexibly within project teams alongside your colleagues to get the best out of everyone and the project.

About the role

As a Research Executive, you’ll assist on a number of projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, to specification and to budget. You’ll undertake a range of research tasks efficiently and to a high standard, while developing your skills as a researcher, working with and learning from your colleagues. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your career here, utilising our MRS accredited training and our performance framework to clearly identify areas for development.

Responsibilities include

  • Provide input into designing questionnaires and guides.
  •  Conduct qualitative interviews, actively listening and probing appropriately.
  • Define sampling and coding specifications that are timely, clear and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure coding, data, survey scripts and reporting outputs are accurate.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently through effective planning and prioritisation.
  • Keep project team updated with project progress, and any problems arising.
  • Effective note-taking at internal and external meetings.
  • Proactively manage and monitor projects in field.
  • Proactively look for ways to increase efficiency and cost saving opportunities.
  • Manage suppliers and sub-contractors ensuring they deliver to time and budget.
  • Liaise with clients as and when required.
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship, where appropriate, with clients.
  • Proactively provide support for other members of your team.
  • Work effectively, and in partnership, with other departments and suppliers.
  • Brief Research Apprentices and Trainee Research Executives on tasks.
  • Review Apprentice and Trainee Research Executive outputs and give ongoing, constructive feedback to help them learn and develop their skills.
  • Produce insightful analysis and reporting.
